Hunter watched from an observation window as crews in small maintenance vessels disconnected umbilical connectors from the USS Zion.

Silvio entered the observation platform right on time for their meeting with Hardluck Harry, the ship yard's chief.

Hunter nodded to greet Silvio.

"Hello Captain," said Silvio as he came to a stop next to Hunter. "You can hardly tell that she was so damaged."

Hunter turned and gazed back out the window, "no, not at all."

Both men looked out at the great ship; bright and glistening in the shipyard. Hunter and Silvio could feel the call of space once again. Their shore leave had been nice, but it was time to move on.

"Well, let's get going," said Hunter, "I'm anxious to see what the repair bill comes to," he said with wink.

Hunter walked with Silvio down the long telescoping corridor that connected the Qul Tuq's dry dock facilities to the USS Zion. The tunnel connected to the engineering deck where Hardluck was waiting.

"Harry," said Hunter with a nod.

"Hello gentlemen," he said motioning out into the engineering section, "Right this way."

Hunter followed Harry as they walked into Engineering.

"How did the repairs go?" inquired Hunter.

"No problems," replied Harry. "At the request of your security chief we relocated the armory to deck 9."

"Indeed," said Hunter looking at Silvio, "anywhere but next to the Brig is good," he said.

Harry nodded.

Silvio's staff were already back at work, getting the Zion ready to leave the docking bay. Silvio could not help but feel glad that things were starting to return to normal.

"What would you like to see Captain," asked Harry.

"Why don't we go up to Deck 5 and check out the repairs," suggested Hunter.

Harry shrugged and turned towards the turbolift, "That deck was a mess, but I think you will be happy with the repairs."

As the turbolift doors closed Hunter turned to Harry, "...and how about the computer core?"

"It's just fine," replied Harry, "It was not damaged."

Hunter winced, "but lieutenant Tappert had been having trouble with some sort of nanites and some other stuff caused by Birkoff?"

"Yes," said Harry, "I read her report."

"We are confident that we got them all Captain," said Silvio.

"Good enough," said Hunter stepping through the turbo lift as it opened on Deck 5.

After touring the deck shook his head with satisfaction, "so she is ready to fly?"

"She is as good as new," said Harry.

"Let's go up to the bridge then," said Hunter.

The men stepped back onto the turbo lift and took it to deck 1.

Hunter stepped out, "Everthing looks to be in order," said Hunter as he sat down in the command chair.

"Its new," he said as he leaned back in it.

"Yes," replied Harry. "Much of the primary circuitry was damaged on the bridge so we upgraded it to the latest specifications. That included the command chair." Harry paused, "Do you like it? It is the deluxe model complete with personal hygiene care and built in bidet."

Hunter stood up quickly, and looked at the chair. He went along with the gag, "Excellent," he said with a smile, "now I never have to leave the bridge."

Silvio surpressed a chuckle. He wanted to say something clever but the words escaped him.

Harry laughed and then waved off the joke with a swipe of his hand, "Just a little humor Captain. It is your standard issue command chair."

Hunter turned to Silvio, "Well, what do you say we get the flight crew in here then and take her out of dry dock?"

"Make it so...Sir," replied Silvio with a smile. He was eagerly looking forward to getting back into space.

Hunter smiled, "let's get it done."
