"John! come on in," said Hunter.

Wright looked around the Captain's temporary office, "It's not as nice as your ready room," he said.

"Yes," agreed Hunter, "and I forgot my fish."

"I am sure they will let you back on to get it, you are the Captain after all," said Wright as he sat down.

Hunter smirked. "But I would have to clear that with Hardluck Harry."

"I stopped by to give you my recommendations for promotions," he said handing a PADD to the Captain. "I also met with Major Madirani. He has requested a reasignemnt."

Hunter looked at the recommendations and skimmed down to Madriani, "indeed, he was a fine soldier."

"Lieutenant Riaan has also requested reassignment," he said.

Hunter arched his brow as he scrolled further down the report.

"It gets better," he said, "Last evening Ensign Highwaji was caught trying to smuggle a cache of weapons off the ship. He intended to sell them for profit." Wirght looked at the Captain. "The ensign has been detained."

Hunter shook his head with humorous dismay, "he was the Ferengi security officer?"

"Yes," replied Wright, "I am not sure what we were thinking when we took on a Ferengi Security Officer."

"So much for the Maquis equality policy," smirked Hunter.

He set the padd down, "I'll read it later," he said, "is there anything else I should be aware of?"

"Well, there is one more thing," he said. "The civilian contractors have decided not to renew their tour of duty with us. I think the Pacifica battles have scared them. They will be leaving us."

"I'll miss them," said Hunter, "especially Miranda."

"No, Miranda has decided she will stay with us," he answered.

Hunter smiled, "Excellent," responded Hunter adding, "I understand you have shoreleave?"

Wright nodded, "I am thinking about taking in the Maquis medical conference," he said. "Doctor Pulaski is the keynote speaker."

Hunter shook his head, "I'm not sure I know who that is," he said with a smile.

Wright chuckled. "How about you Sir," he asked. "What plans do you have?"

Hunter set down the PADD he was working on, "me?" he guffawed, "I'm up to here in reports to finish for the Admiral." he said gesturing to his neck.

"If I'm lucky I might get a couple weeks. I haven't made any plans."

"Well, you need tome R&R too. So don't work the whole time away."

"Thanks for the advice, Number one."

Wright stood up, "You are welcome Sir."

"Enjoy your conference," he said with an affirmative nod.

"Thank you sir," he said. Wright turned and left the room.
