SHIFTS

There are three shifts onboard ship, they are:

Alpha: 0800 to 1600hrs

Beta:  1600 to 2400hrs

Delta:  0000 to 0800hrs

Most senior officers are assigned to the Alpha shift, but not always.  It is also not uncommon for crewmembers to change shifts.  From time to time anyone maybe called to do a double shift or work evenings or nights. As per regulation, a red alert condition usually brings the alpha shift back on duty automatically.
