Chester had a knack for getting out of the Captain's quarters. It just wasn't safe, Hunter thought to himself. Not to mention the quarters on deck two were in one of the most vulnerable areas of the ship.

Scooping Chester up, he put him in an animal carrier and took him to deck eight. Stepping from the turbo lift Hunter quickly made his way to Sickbay.

Chester hated when Captain put him in the box. He decided that it was time to punish Captain. He would cut Captain off; no more pussycat for him. No purring, no instant adoration. From now on he could talk to the tail, thought Chester. Chester's tail swished to emphasize his feelings on the matter.

Hunter found Dr. Dane in her office.

"Excuse me Doctor, I have a big favor to ask you."

Teilani looked up and put her tricorder to the side. She smiled as she watched Hunter standing there with a carrier box in his hands. "Sure what is it?"

Hunter set the carrier on teh floor, "I was wondering if I could leave Chester in your office until the battle is over?"

Teilani sank to her knees and peered in the box. "Leave him in my office? Sure that will be no problem."

"Thanks Doctor."

"Hi Chester," Teilani said watching his whiskers moving.

"He can stay safely in my office. There will be a nice secluded spot for him to hide if the noise and the rocking become too much."

"Hopefully we'll see you later." said Hunter with a wry smile. Hunter took a couple steps backwards, and then turned and left.

Chester could not believe it. Captain just left, no goodbye nothing. To make matters worse he was left in the box. Chester began to growl and hiss. Someone would let him out of this box.

Teilani picked up the box and carried it to her office. She closed the door and placed the box on her desk.

"Hi Chester, you have to stay with me for a while," she said softly rearranging the indian blanket on her couch. Things will get nasty in a while and you will be save here."

Chester glared at the doctor but stopped growling. His only home was that she would at least let him out of the box.

"I know he did not say goodbye, now did he?"

Chester tried hard not to think about Captain's treachery. He would be made to pay for this. Chester could not think of a time when he was this unhappy.

"Come on," Teilani said as she opened the box. "It will be alright Chester."

Chester jumped out of the box and took up a position on the couch where he promptly turned his back on the doctor. His tail swishing in agitation.

Watching the cat's tail Teilani smiled and went back to her work.
