"Excuse me Doctor," said Hunter, "do you have a couple moments?"
"Captain," Teilani said with a smile. "But of course." She placed the slides down and gestured to her office.
Hunter followed Dane to her office.
"Please sit, what can I do for you Sir?" He looks tired, she thought, I wonder if he has taken up my advice to schedule some more holodeck time.
"About Mason," said Hunter, "we're going to interview him later today. Is he up to it?"
"Yes Captain," she responded.
"Good." Hunter stood up to leave, but turned around. "Would you care to join me for dinner tonight?" said Hunter bluntly.
Teilani blinked a few times as his question surprised her. "I loved to Sir," she responded softly.
"Good, I'll pick you up at your quarters around 1800."
"I will make sure I am ready."
Standing up, Hunter said, "Okay, I'll see you then." he said with nod as he turned to go.
Watching Hunter leave, Teilani walked back to her slides. A dinner date, she thought, What am I going to wear?
--Counselor's office--
Next Hunter went to Zoei's office and entered the reception area, shortly after he was greeted.
"Good afternoon, Captain. What can I do for you?" Zoei asked.
Hunter nodded, "thank you Counselor, do you have a few minutes to visit?"
"Of course," Zoei replied. "Why don't you have a seat?" Zoei gestured toward the seating area.
"Its about Mason," said Hunter, taking a seat. "I would like you to be present when we re-interview him. Would you have time a little bit later? say, 1900 hours?"
Mentally she reviewed the remainder of her appointments for the day. The last one was scheduled for 1730 and was scheduled for an hour. That should give her ample time to attend the meeting. "That will be fine. Will this take place in Sick Bay? Or has he been released to the brig?
"I guess it depends on what Dr. Dane suggests." replied Hunter.
"Also, can I ask what the purpose is of my attendance?"
"I am hoping that you can validate the authenticity of his testimony," answered Hunter.
Zoei nodded. "Unless he is a truly rare bird, that shouldn't be hard to do. Is this an interview or an interrogation? And who will be in attendance?"
"Northrop and myself we be conducting the interview," said Hunter stressing the word interview.
She nodded again. "Please let me know where you need me to be at 1900 and I will be there."
Hunter stood up and nodded, "good...good. I'll contact you when we are ready to start."
Hunter turned and left. It was time to get ready for dinner.
