Loosing a good medic"

Stardate: 58204.26 1500

Hunter stopped by his Quarters and got cleaned up following his rough-housing with Dr. Northrop. He needed to head down to sick bay and talk to Dr. Dane about Ensign Favor. He was still bleeding a bit, he should have that embarrassment looked after too.

He entered Sickbay and found the good doctor reviewing medical charts. "Excuse me Doctor, may I see you?"

Teilani turned around as she heard Hunter speak. "But of course Captain, " she said a bit surprised. He did not visit Sickbay that often. "What happend to your mouth?"

"I've had a mishap in the gym." said Hunter sheepishly. "I've sustained a contusion in my mouth." Hunter considered himself lucky he didn't loose any teeth.

Teilani had a hard time not to laugh. "I see, have a seat Captain, I'm sure I can fix it real soon," she said with a smirk on her face. Teilani walked to a tray and took her tricorder and the derma regenerator. Scanning the contusion it appeard that Hunter had a loose tooth and a small cut in his lip.

"Please put your head a bit back Sir." Teilani used the regenerator and in a jiffy the injury was fixed. "Next time Sir, you better be careful at the gym, punching bags sometimes bite back.

Hunter instinctively touched the healed area, "Thanks for the advice."

"Your welcome. What was it you want to talk to me about?"

Hunter paused and took a deep breath. "I'm concerned about the crew's moral lately. We've already been through a lot in a short couple of months." Hunter paused to let the words take effect. "I would like to reassign Ensign Favor as a full time moral officer. I think this is becoming a necessity by the day."

Teilani frowned as she placed the medical equipment back on the tray. "Darned Captain, isnt there someone else. Ensign Favor is a excellent medic and I hate to see her go."

Hunter shook his head, "She's the most logical choice, besides, she can maintain her medic qualifications and perform those duties as auxiliary staff."

Hunter slide down from the bio bed.

"Additional medical staff have arrived from the Laborieux. You won't be short handed." he said.

"Then so be it Captain," Teilani said clearly annoyed. "I will make the necessary changes in her record."

Hunter sympathized with her, he could tell she wasn't happy about this. Unfortunately he had to side with the well being of the crew, and the counselor agreed.

"What is your status report? how is Silvio and Wright doing?" he inquired.

"They both are fine....... Sir." Teilani said a bit sarcastially.

"Very well, carry on," he said straightening his collar. "Let me know if their condition changes."

Hunter turned and left Sickbay.

Teilani squeezed her eyes. She was not happy with it at all. It was always the medical department which had to suffer. She muttered,"if you need crew, sure take them from medical they have enough. Transfer people out of medical. NO problem."

Violently Teilani threw some equipment on a tray. She wanted to hit someone.
